Something's a-brewing

The latest LucasArts Insider has some interesting hints of what's going to happen at E3. Probably the most interesting aspect is the header image which contains images from only new and unannounced games, where we can see Ben from Full Throttle with a very familiar looking monkey on his back. What does this mean? Discuss amongst yourselves.

thats not an image from a new game, its just a screen shot from full throttle with an EMI monkey pasted into it

Well, duh to you Sherlock :) The question really is, why would they use two old images (combined into one really) amongst all the new images?

Well obviously! The question is, why the sudden Full Throttle refference? In the same e-mail which states that there is going to be a new game announced... and so close to E3 where (correct me if I'm wrong) Simon Jeffery hinted that there would be some adventure game titles being announced around that time. Coincidence? COINCIDENCE!!?

I'm all for anything as long as it doesn't suck. Hopefully we'll have a general impression of... something or other... soon.

Up until Insider #19, there was a generic header which contained a shot of Guybrush. Now, it's an all new header that frankly looks better. I don't think too much can be read into it; LucasArts always likes to show something from their Adventure side, and even until recently Ben has been a fixture on LucasArts main site where they showed a collage of past characters.

But I think an adventure game is due, and Lucas seems to be looking to do a sequel to a past title instead of an entirely new one.

Maybe it's just a Monkey Island "Monkey Head joke" refference.

You're probably thinking about Tim Schafer. He left and is running his own company which will announce a new game at E3 (I'm really looking forward to this one).

In our interview with Sean Clark and Mike Stemmle, Clark hints that he'd like to make a sequel to Full Throttle, so who knows...

I recently played Full Throttle again and I don't recognize the background.... It looks more like a..GIANT DARTH VADER HELMET! Even though I hate Star Wars I think it looks a lot like his helmet. I pray that they announce a new MI game and A new FT game would be cool also.

Yea, I think it's basically an implication of Lucasart's old work. Most successful games, and characters most synonomous with those games.

'sides, I heard a rumor a Sam n Max 2 was due, and it was gonna be released on all formats, any truth to that?
