More Monkeys?

Ok, so we already know that there in all likelyhood will be a Monkey Island 5 some time in the future, but check out this interview with Tom Sarris if you still need additional confirmation. A quote:
I'd say so. I'd say that they're extremely viable properties for us to tap into in the future, in the same way that we're doing with Sam & Max. There's no reason why we can't adapt those to another generation of games players. I think there are stories that still remain to be told within Monkey Island and Grim Fandango.

Good news for sure.

WORST. NEWS. EVER.

I think a game set in the Grim Fandango universe could work, as long as they stay away from the original story. Of course a brand new, original game would be better, but hey...

I think that Grim Fandango without Mr. Tim Shafer is a HORRIBLE idea. I think i would have to personally go over to the Ranch and straighten things out.

Yeah... I should've known you'd spend all day online making sure noone would outbid you. If only I had the patience, I could've waited 'till the last minute.
Ah, well... More money to spend on whisky!
Mys-mys: Pffffffffffttttttt!

I guess you could have put on proxy-bidding up to like $400 to make sure you won. But still, would it really be worth it?

Comment from Erdan

hmmm, just read the interview...

In some point I feal sorry that their new games are gonna be more action based. All the die-hard adventurers will be disappointed in some point I think...

As for MI-5, I really don't know how a game like that would be made. I hope they do it properly - I hope they'll listen to fans :)
