Sarris speaks

Issue 124 of PC Zone magazine contains a recent interview of LucasArts Tom Sarris, talking about forthcoming titles for 2003 and beyond. Heres what he had to say:
There'll definitely be another Monkey Island game. You've seen four incredibly well-done versions of Monkey Island, and there's an immense amount of stories that remain to be told within that series... This is definitely something we want to continue to exploit as we move forward and as the emphasis on Star Wars games lessons, because after Episode III, therell be no more Star Wars films.
This drops further hints that there might be more than five games in the series, which is surely good news. The interview also talks about sequels to Sam & Max and Full Throttle.

Well, it's kinda true. It doesn't have to suffer, if done right.

Best news in a long time!
I still have faith in LEC, just because EMI wasn't that good comparing with it's forerunners it doesn't mean that Monkey 5 will turn out bad. I still have that naive thought that Ron will show up and save the day =)
But one thing disturbs me. They should leave Grim as it is.... no sequels

Not sure about that... In my opinion, if Grim 2 comes out and sucks, it won't ruin the first game. However, if it's good, well... We play the 2nd, and want to play the 1st again, and then move onto the 2nd, and so on... kinda like Monkey Island!

Yeah, that's true. However, since there's no possible way for us the fans to control that, we can only hope for sequels and that they'll be great. If they're not, well... too bad.
