The Monkey Island SCUMM Bar: Hope you saved the game!

James Grimmelmann has written an article on some site about "the link between death and democracy in games." More importantly, however, it analyses Guybrush�s near-death experience in The Secret of Monkey Island. Now that�s the sort of thing we like to see! Read all about it here.

Well they obviously didnt realise that in MI1 u can actually die :D
U can also die in MI2 but its just funny and u dont actually actually die... if u know what i mean :S

(For those who don't know, you can actually kill Guybrush by leaving him for more than 10 minutes underwater in SOMI as seen here.)

I know but you don't see any blood or gore when guybrush dies or drowns and thats sad cause in the 15 century when Mokey Island takes place people did drown if they were thrown down in the sea with a stone or another heavy stuff around their leg! So if they want to make a real pirate game of M I they should have taken with that when guybrush drowns it comes blood out from his face opening cause thats waht happen if you drown sometimes!

In MI3 you can see the drown guybrush from MI1 again! you have to try to pick up the water near blood island (where the flying welshman is) 25 times..just so you know...but why would we want to see guybrush dead?
