Are you a Civilization 3 fan? If so, you might want to check out this Monkey Island scenario developed by Rune. Inspired by the original Secret of Monkey Island map, knowledge of the island's layout is allegedly the key to conquering and winning the game.
I haven't had a chance to play the scenario myself, but looking at it through a map editor, it does indeed look very much like Monkey Island, both in shape and layout of resources. Get it here.
