Ron is influential

Ron Gilbert is the 29th most influential person in gaming according to GameSpy's latest article. There's a nice little article describing his rise to fame, which is well worth a read.

The only other LEC "employee" currently featured is George Lucas on number 17, but there's a chance that we'll see more of our favourite designers in the top seven which will be published tomorrow. (Tim Schafer anyone?)

What to say. Of course there are no comments.
Ron Gilbert. THE Ron Gilbert only in number 29? The revolutionary Ron Gilbert is less influential than some japanese guys that started Playstation 2? I don't think playstation 2 changes the way games are today. Ron Gilbert did. And J.R.R. Tolkien (my all time favorite writer) in number 17? He is of course very influential but not that much, i think.

RON GILBERT, YOU LEAVE AND YOU GUIDE AS!

sorry for my many comments but now i read all the list.

Is Bruce Shelley that better than Ron Gilbert? And what do you think about this:

So on top of revolutionizing the PC adventure genre, Gilbert has initiated millions of kids into the world of PC interactive entertainment. For his lasting contribution, Gilbert earned himself a spot on our list.
