Another nail in the coffin for LucasArts
It's official – 31 people sacked and "the company will be concentrating on fewer titles", according to a recent press release from LucasArts. The conformation comes as no surprise, considering the latest rumours.
Jim Ward farted the following excuse – "to make LucasArts thrive and to position ourselves for the long-term future, we need to make some fundamental changes". So in other words LucasArts has to become essentially just a publisher for Star Wars games. They’ve reached a new low.
All things considered a new Monkey Island game doesn’t look that likely in the foreseeable future. But don’t cry! There’s still plenty of good games to look forward to... just not from LEC.
