The Monkey Island SCUMM Bar: Melee lego strikes back

Rom�o Santos, a.k.a. Merkel, has sent the latest pictures from his impressive Lego rendition of Melee Island town. Changes from last time include, but are not limited to:

A new church/cathedral

Houses being finished

General streamlining improvements

Docks added

And of course more mysterious background shots, some of them even with real people!

Take a look at the latest update here. I think you�ll all agree that the town is really shaping up nicely � personally I can�t wait to see what gets added next.

I have a personal request... (i know it's off topic but i'll write it anyway!) Monkey Island is 2nd only to Sam and Max! (that's due to the 'recent' killing of it! And as much as I know S.a.M. was also made with s.c.u.m.m. So it would be great if this site was also for sam and max! S.a.M. lacks good and *ahm* active sites!)

As far as I know, S&M wasn't done with the SCUMM engine, but I could be wrong. On a side note, I never realised that the abreviation of Sam and Max is SaM. That's kinda cool. :)

As for Sam & Max sites, http://www.samandmax.net/ has everything we could ever provide and more. It's not updated as much as you'd like, I'm sure, but that's due to the lack of active Sam & Max fans (and games, damn you LucasArts) than the site itself. It's updated as much as any S&M site can be though.

oh... btw i'm having trouble finding a screenshot of the volcano (not at the top but where (i think) lemonhead stops you if you don't have the *ahm* mask on you... do you have one i can borrow?) this is from cmi...., blood island...

Yes, the screenshots section, which is hidden away in the games section... we should probably revise the menu a bit.

Anyway the screenshot you wanted is here, I think. And I agree, I probably would have looked under islands too if I didn't know the site better. :)

Thrik - if you could edit to say you broke the layout, why didn't you edit to unbreak the layout too? It's also not very nice to act all superior at someone when actually it's *not* obvious that it's in the screenshots section because the screenshots section isn't on the main menu.

There's some way of ripping only the background files to have nothing else on top. I dunno, maybe try SCUMM Revisited?
