  • MI2 is available for the PC, Mac, FM Towns, Atari, and Amiga. The special edition is additionally available for iOS, Xbox, and PS3.
  • Release dates:
    • Original: December, 1991
    • Special edition: July 7th, 2010
  • The Project Lead was of course Ron Gilbert. Co-designers from MI1, Tim Schafer and Dave Grossman, were again heavily involved with MI2.
  • Original floppy version had an "Easy" mode for beginners. This feature was dropped from later CD-ROM versions.
  • The Amiga version featured better music quality, and smoother scrolling that the PC version. On the other hand, the PC version had more music and background animations/details.
